Pattern Poole is an independent digital pattern label created in Sydney, Australia. Our quilt patterns are designed by Monica Poole, who has over 35+ years of experience in the patchwork and quilting industry and is a trained fashion designer and pattern maker. Our quilt-as-you-go patterns include instructions for creating the quilt top and constructing the design quilt as you go. We have a range of YouTube tutorials to assist you. Our raw edge applique patterns are designed by Alaura Poole and are created using her signature mosiac style of applique, with simple shapes suitable for all levels of sewing. Once you have purchased your pattern, you will receive a link at the checkout to download and save your PDF pattern to your device. You will also receive an email with the link; please check your spam folder. You have 30 days to download the pattern before the link expires and will receive a reminder email 26 days after purchase. If you need help saving your pattern or it is lost, don't worry; you can always email us, and we will happily resend you the link. The 30-day expiry is an automatic feature on our website, and we understand that technology doesn't always behave, so, please send an email to studio@patternpoole.com for any assistance you require.
To download digital patterns, you need Adobe Acrobat Reader on your device. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free, and you can download it from the Adobe website. Click the link to download the file. Some internet browsers may give a warning message, but we ensure the pattern is safe to download. Once you have downloaded the file, you can open it by:
First, navigate to the downloads folder where the PDF file is located on your computer.
Find the PDF file you want to open.
Right-click on the PDF file. A menu will appear.
In the menu, select "Open With" and then select "Adobe Acrobat" or "Adobe Acrobat Reader" from the list of programs.
Note: If you don't see Adobe Acrobat in the list, you may need to install it on your computer. You can download it from the Adobe website.
Please try using our free patterns as a test to see if your device is compatible, as we do not offer a printing and shipping service. You can find them here:
You can make and sell our patterns on a small hobby business scale of no more than 10 items at a time. The item must have a swing ticket that mentions that it is a Pattern Poole Design with our website: www.patternpoole.com
Please tag Pattern Poole in your social media postings, we would love to see your work. Our designs cannot be mass manufactured on a professional level. Please email us for more information.

If you are having trouble downloading the pattern here are some tips below:
1. Check the device you are using:
Do you have the most updated operating system on your PC?
check out this article to see if your windows operating system is up to date.
2. If you are using an Andriod device make sure you have a PDF reader app. Check out this article to see how to download.
3. If you are using an apple device make sure your device is updated with the current operating system. Check out this article.
4. Make sure you are using the latest version of your chosen search engine.

Sorry, you are experiencing this issue!
I can understand it must be very frustrating.
Some of the reasons are as follows.
1. If you are downloading the PDF from an email this can be because your Antivirus firewall is up. If you are tech-savvy, drop your firewall while downloading and instantly put it back up. You could be receiving this error message because we use a cloud-based application to send out automated emails and your firewall may not recognise it. Email us if you need more help, studio@patternpoole.com
2. Your software is out of date - please ensure you are using the latest version of Adobe PDF on your PC and make sure your PDF readers on tablet and phone is up to date.
3. Use an up to date web explorer such as Google Chrome. Read more here.

Our PDF patterns are non-refundable, please choose carefully before purchase or try out a few of our free patterns first to ensure our PDF patterns are compatible for you. Find free patterns here (scroll down to see the dog and cat patterns) If you have purchased physical products and would like a refund please email us to discuss studio@patternpoole.com
Our business was founded in 2002 as a printed pattern company. However, since 2020, we have made the decision to go digital, as this allows us to focus on our YouTube tutorials. We currently do not sell printed patterns and products. We have plans to sign with a distributor in 2024, and you will see some of our designs at your favourite quilt stores. If you have a quilt store you wish to stock our patterns, please email us at studio@patternpoole.com
