The Secret Path – 2026 Mystery Quilt-As-You-Go Online Course The Secret Path is a 12-month mystery Quilt-As-You-Go (QAYG) online quilting course designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced quilters who love precision, beauty and creative structure. The course begins April 2, 2026, with new quilt blocks, video tutorials and downloadable PDF patterns released on the first Thursday of each month. Registration opens March 2, 2026. Inspired by European tile motifs, this on-point quilt combines foundation paper piecing (FPP) and fusible applique to create geometric and softly curved designs that radiate in harmony. Over the year, you will receive 12 FPP blocks, 12 applique blocks, plus a bonus of each — 26 blocks in total — giving you the flexibility to create either a 67” large quilt or a 50” small quilt. Each block is quilted as you go using Monica Poole’s Easy Cover Strip method, eliminating the struggle of quilting a large project at once. The cover strips appear as a 1” sashing between blocks, creating a refined tiled effect (with the option to place them on the back for a seamless front). This course is beginner-friendly, with detailed step-by-step video tutorials covering foundation paper piecing (including traditional and freezer paper methods), fusible applique, trimming, precision piecing and professional finishing. More experienced quilters will enjoy the structure, design complexity and creative freedom to personalise colour placement and quilting. The course is completely self-paced.
