What is the difference between the printed book and the PDF edition?
The content is exactly the same — the only difference is the format.
The printed edition is a physical, full-colour 208-page book printed in Australia. It includes QR codes and web links that take you to Monica’s corresponding video tutorials.
The PDF edition is a 208-page digital download that you can save to your device, read digitally or print for your personal use. It includes clickable video links as well as QR codes.
Many of our customers choose both — keeping the printed book beside their sewing machine and the PDF on their phone or tablet for sewing classes, workshops or trips to the fabric shop.
Can I purchase both the Print and PDF editions?
Absolutely! Add both editions to your cart and you’ll automatically receive 50% off the PDF edition at checkout.

How much is shipping?
Shipping is charged in Australian dollars (AUD) and is based on your destination:

If you’re shopping internationally, your bank or payment provider will convert the amount into your local currency.
Why does international shipping cost this much?
The Quilt-as-you-go Companion is a substantial 208-page, full-colour book printed on quality paper and finished with Canadian-style binding. Its size and weight make international postage more expensive than sending a standard sewing pattern or booklet.
If you’d prefer to avoid international postage, the complete book is also available as a PDF edition.
How long will my printed book take to arrive?
Please allow up to 2 business days for us to process and pack your order before dispatch.
For delivery, please allow approximately:
Australia: Up to 7 business days
International: 7–14 business days
International delivery times may vary depending on your destination and local customs processing. Unfortunately, customs delays are outside of our control.
Once your book is on its way, you’ll receive your shipping confirmation so you know it has been dispatched.
Can I order more than one printed book?
Our remaining printed stock is limited, so our online store currently accepts orders for one copy per customer.
If you’d like to purchase multiple copies, please email studio@patternpoole.com with your location and the number of books you’d like. We can calculate combined shipping and arrange an invoice for you.
How long do I have to download my PDF?
Your download link is available for 30 days after purchase, so we recommend downloading your book and saving it safely to your device as soon as possible.
Once downloaded and saved, your PDF does not expire.
What happens if my download link expires?
Don’t worry! If your 30-day download link expires before you’ve saved your book, email us at studio@patternpoole.com and we can help you access your purchase.
How many devices can I save my PDF to?
You may save your purchased PDF to your own personal devices, allowing you to access your book wherever you sew.
Your purchase is for personal use only. The PDF may not be copied, emailed, shared or distributed to another person.
Can I have my PDF professionally printed?
Yes. Your purchase includes permission to have one copy printed for your personal use at a local copy shop.
You can save the PDF to a USB drive or provide the file to your chosen printer. Please refer to the copyright notice on page 2 of The Quilt-As-You-Go Companion for further information.
How should I have the PDF printed?
The PDF contains 208 full-colour pages and is designed to print on either A4 or Letter-size paper at Actual Size.
If you’d like something similar to the physical book, we recommend asking your printer for:
Full-colour printing
Double-sided pages
Spiral binding
Clear protective front and back covers
Printing services and prices vary considerably, so we recommend requesting a quote from your local printer first.
Depending on where you live, purchasing the printed edition and having it shipped to you may be more economical than professionally printing the entire PDF.
The price changed at checkout. Why?
It’s simply being displayed in a different currency.
Pattern Poole is based in Australia, so all transactions are processed in Australian dollars (AUD).
While you’re browsing, our website may display prices in your local currency. At checkout, the total changes back to AUD, so the number may look higher, but the converted value is approximately the same.
Your bank or payment provider will handle the currency conversion using their current exchange rate. Any international transaction or currency conversion fees are determined by your bank or payment provider.
Which credit cards do you accept?
We currently accept Visa and Mastercard.
We do not currently accept American Express (AMEX) or other card types.
My PayPal order didn't go through. What should I do?
If you’re having trouble completing a PayPal payment on an iPad or tablet, we recommend trying again using a desktop computer or mobile phone.
If you use PayPal Pay in 4, your payment may take additional time to clear before we can process your order.

No.
Monica spent a year writing The Quilt-As-You-Go Companion, drawing on more than 35 years of hands-on sewing, quilting and teaching experience.
Every word was written from Monica’s heart, drawing on decades of real sewing, quilting and teaching, with no assistance from AI.
The book also brings together techniques Monica has developed and taught throughout her career, alongside video tutorials from the Pattern Poole YouTube library.
