I’m so happy to have received your book! From the moment I opened it, I’ve been reading a bit every night after exploring the city of Sydney. It's been so inspiring! It made me realize I don’t need to look for a long-arm quilting machine, which can be quite expensive. I’m definitely going to try the four projects you recommended.
I’ve attached a photo of a Quilt As You Go blanket I made using Batik Bali fabric that I finally stitched.
This is a fantastic this book. What is the most fantastic part of this book (and most helpful) to me is the QR codes. You just scan them with your phone it takes to you a video on "how to" do this steps with actual visuals with Monica! If you don't clearly understand what is written, just view the video! The cover is paper, so I took it to FedEx & had the front & back cover protected with clear plastic in the large lamination machine. My book cover is now protected, cost $10.00 USD.
I was making a Quilt of Valor for my brother that had lots of personalized details related to his service. An all over quilting design was not going to work. I was familiar with Monica’s QAYG YouTube channel and decided I’d give the Cover Strip method a try. It worked great and added another design feature to the quilt! Can’t wait to try another method on my next project!!
This is the most wonderful book for learning QAYG! I’ve enjoyed reading it, and my scrap quilt with cover strips is looking very good. The directions and photos are so so easy to follow! With a home sewing machine, QAYG is a splendid method of making a large quilt. I highly recommend this book! You will have no regrets! I’m showing a photo with a few blocks I’ve finished.
I am new to Quilt as You Go. Pattern Pool has been very informative with both videos and this amazing book. It's very well written and excellent clear instructions and pictures. I found the investment definately worth it and this is now is my "go to" instrtuciton book. I do rfeccomend this book for anyone interested in the quilt as you go technique.
I awaited with great expectation for my Quilt as you go companion. I was not disappointed. The book has indeed become my companion as I pour over the information and illustrations.

I received the book today. I ordered it NOV 29, 2024. I always want to know how long it takes to receive after ordering. The site said 4-6 weeks. Very impressed with the speed of arrival. I was a bit concerned about what condition the book would arrive in, coming so far. They took great care in packaging. It's perfect!!!!!!. I have watched the tutorials on YouTube and have been inspired. Monica's explains in awesome detail. Love the pictures. The best part is I don't have to pause or replay. A+
I was so excited to receive my copy of this beautiful quilt as you go book. I'm a very new quilter and love how thorough the design, set up, instructions and images are. The quality is beyond compare, from cover to cover an extensive and comprehensive tool that every quilter should have. As a side note: I hear Monica's voice as I turn each page and can remember the videos that so clearly demonstrate every technique. The click on links to your YouTube channel are brilliant! This is everything I had hoped for. It confirms several of the ideas that I have tried over the last 10 years. All the charts are easy to understand and consolidate all the information in an easy location to go back to when you are looking for something specific. All the various joining methods are listed with beautiful pictures and step by step instructions, as well as instruction on binding and borders. It even has basic quilting info. I am anxious to try the projects at the end of the book.
My book arrived to the UK from Australia in perfect condition, fairly quickly and inexpensively. (much better than postal costs from USA to UK), using tracked postage. I knew when the book arrived in the UK and was on its way to me.
I have already made use of the book. The book is clearly laid out and lays flat when reading which is very useful in my sewing room. I am the sort of person who prefers a hard copy to totally e based reading so this was a worthy investment for me. 5 stars.
I've watched many Pattern Poole videos and participated in several sew-alongs, and this book gives all the information you need to QAYG in one place. The illustrations and photos are amazing and the explanations are clear. I love the QR codes that make it easy to find a video on a particular skill. I look forward to working through the projects and further cementing the process in my skill set. Oh, and so happy that the book opens flat. Thank you, Monica and Alaura, for creating this resource.
I found Monica's tutorials on You Tube and was immediately hooked on her QAYG methods. I have been sewing for over 60 years and have struggled to make a few quilts with little success. Monica changed all that for me. I have completed many quilts using her techniques. The book is a constant reference for me. Paring the You Tube tutorials with the book gives me everything I need to be successful. It is the best resource available. I recommend Monica and her book highly.
I have purchased both the electronic and physical copy of this book. I much prefer the physical copy to have in my hand. (and wish I had purchased both together to save a little money). This book is extremely detailed and well written. It is easy to follow with beautifully photographed pictures and videos. I love this book and have enjoyed learning all the methods for Quilt As You Go. Thank You to Monica and Alaura. This will be a well used book that will be used very frequently.
I just started to look at the pdf version, as the book won't arrive for another week. There is so much information and all of it is valuable. I have made many quilts but I am still learning. Each time they comment on a fact, they include a photo to show what they mean. Charts are clear as they explain differences in methods. All of these help you to decide which ones to choose. I have made one QAYG quilt and can't wait to start another one. You won't regret this purchase!
Where was this book 10 years ago when I got into quilting! Great book for beginners to have as it goes over different things with illustrations. Also good reference for the different quilt as you go techniques which is why I bought it. They did very good job putting it together. There are charts, different products listed and their uses etc. I previously was uninterested with quilt as you go but after watching some of their videos and buying the book I am confident it will be fun
This is my favourite and best book in my Sewing Studio. I have both the PDF and hard copy book. The details in the instructions and accompanying photos are next level. Monica has such a down to earth and extensive knowledge in her writing and explanations. Having access to the links to the YouTube videos in the PDF version and QR codes in the book is an amazing feature. The book is of such high quality glossy paper and spiral bound so it lays flat beside you while working.
I have been following and making quilts with Pattern Poole for a while. I waited months for this book to become available and it absolutely was worth the wait! It is a gorgeous book to have in your quilting library. Anything you want to know about the Quilt As You Go (QAYG) method is in this book. The photos are clear, detailed and beautiful. This is such a wonderful book for learning various skills in quilting and appliqueing, from beginners, intermediate, and advanced quilters. This book has inspired me to learn different methods to quilt-as-you-go, appliqueing, joining blocks with different methods, adding borders. As a novice quilter, I will try all the projects in the back of the book to get a handle on the different methods used in this publication.
I love this book, as I have ADHD this book along with online video tutorials help me so much. I love the charts. I love the basics with the instructions. Having ADHD can sometimes be like having dementia where I can make one thing and completely forget all the steps on how I got there.
