One of the greatest joys of Pattern Poole is seeing the incredible quilts created by our community. Every quilter brings their own creativity, fabric choices and personality to each design, making every project truly unique.

This week we're sharing a collection of inspiring projects from our wonderful community. We hope they spark ideas for your next quilt.

Time to Bloom Appliqué Blocks by Rebecca Utting

Rebecca's rich navy background makes every flower, insect and vine glow with colour. The vibrant palette creates beautiful depth and contrast, turning each block into a little work of art.

Time to Bloom Quilt-as-you-go quilt by Lakhbir Virdee

Lakhbir's full-sized Time to Bloom quilt celebrates the original red colour palette I first imagined for this design. Rich reds and warm oranges glow against the crisp white background, creating a bold yet elegant finish.

Happiness Quilt-as-you-go quilt by Dale Brooker

Originally designed in 2014 and republished in 2025, Dale's version of Happiness is full of cheerful colour. The matching border and sashing fabrics frame each block beautifully, creating the illusion that they are floating across the quilt.

The Petal Quilt-as-you-go quilt by Çanti Dahlia K

Çanti's first appliqué quilt is a wonderful interpretation of Petal. The vibrant green background completely transforms the design, allowing the purple and blue petals to shine. Made one stitch at a time between full-time work, it is a lovely reminder that small moments of progress create something extraordinary.

Butterfly Bliss Quilt-as-you-go quilt by Tina Robinson

Created as a playmat for her granddaughter, Tina's Butterfly Bliss quilt is full of soft pastel fabrics, delicate blossoms and graceful butterflies. Her sketchy appliqué stitching adds beautiful texture and movement, while the scalloped border provides the perfect finishing touch.

Pattern Poole Free Quilt-as-you-go Along by Jules Artisan-Devotee

It's hard to believe this is Jules' very first quilt. Her beautiful pink and purple colour palette glows throughout the design, while the striking fancy quilt-as-you-go border gives the quilt a unique and eye-catching finish.

Aussie Babies Quilt-as-you-go baby quilt by Debra Vesey

Debra combined our individually available Aussie Babies appliqué patterns into a custom baby quilt for her grandson, Oliver. The soft grey background allows each Australian animal to shine, while Oliver's name across the top makes this a truly special keepsake.

The Secret Path colour palette by Theresa Wright

Inspired by the colours of European tiles, Theresa's carefully chosen palette of deep blues, warm golds, orange and soft aqua perfectly captures the spirit of The Secret Path. Her hand-painted ceramic cup beautifully reflects the inspiration behind the fabric selection, making this colour story even more special.

Peacock's Garden Quilt-as-you-go quilt by Harriett Cresswell

Harriett's Peacock's Garden quilt combines elegant appliqué with beautiful pieced blocks in a harmonious palette of jewel tones and soft florals. The colourful diamond border frames the quilt perfectly, while the peacock creates a stunning focal point at its centre.
