We can hardly believe we’re almost halfway through the course!
This month, we’re introducing the Gothic Star, a striking foundation paper-pieced block featuring four sweeping points arranged around a layered centre. Its strong geometric shapes give the block a beautiful sense of depth and movement, with a distinctly Gothic feel.
Alongside the Gothic Star is this month’s French-inspired appliqué block. Designed to resemble a decorative floral tile, it features a stylised flower at the centre, surrounded by graceful curved motifs and leafy corner details. The soft symmetry and ornamental shapes give this block an elegant old-world character that sits beautifully alongside the other appliqué designs in The Secret Path.
Join Us for a Halfway Catch-Up
Before we get stitching, grab a cuppa and join us in the studio for a relaxed catch-up! We’re chatting about how the course has been progressing, what we’ve been working on behind the scenes, how we've changed to a different fusible web brand and our experience with our new ScanNCut, and a few things we’ve learned along the way.
Most importantly, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you for being part of The Secret Path and for all of the wonderful support you’ve given us throughout the course so far.
Over the Next Six Months
As we move into the second half of The Secret Path, we’ll begin to switch gears. Over the coming months, we’ll introduce the bonus blocks and start preparing to join our blocks together quilt-as-you-go.
If you haven’t started yet, or you’re a little behind, that’s absolutely fine. There’s still plenty of time to work at your own pace and catch up as we move through the next stage of the course.
This next phase is where everything we’ve been creating begins to come together, and we’re so excited to share it with you.
