Hi Everyone! I'm from Texas. My mom taught me to sew when I was 7 or 8 on a tiny little kids sewing machine (started out sewing / tracing the blue lines on paper)... fast forward 50 or so years and I love sewing all sorts of things, especially quilts! I've been interested in learning QAYG for the past year and happily found Pattern Poole on YouTube. I love your teaching style! Great tips and you make everything so easy! I'm so excited to join you all in making our beautiful Time to Bloom quilts!! Now off to the fabric store!! I'm thinking something in dark blues & purples... =)
I've been sewing and quilting for many years. I have always tied my quilts with floss. But this last year I have been watching Pattern Poole on YouTube and just finished a QAYG project using pieced blocks from another monthly block subscription. This has really inspired me, and I might just have to complete some of the quilt tops I have stashed away unfinished! I decided to take the Time to Bloom course, but I didn't expect to have already learned several techniques that have changed my quilting experience so completely. Spray Starch - Game Changer! Hi everyone. My name is Karen from Upper Hutt, New Zealand. I have been following Pattern Poole since last year when I got hooked on quilting trying to use up scraps from mask making. I made the Island Home quilt which I thoroughly enjoyed and one other from from Monica's patterns. Although late joining this course and it may be sometime before I get started due to a hip operation next week, I have been absolutely amazed at everyones work. Look forward to catching up really soon.
Hello everyone. My name is Georgina and I live in a village in Nottinghamshire UK. I have been sewing since I was very young and as a teenager I would make my own clothes. Not always successfully but that didn’t stop me. I now enjoy making quilts, bags, clothing and anything else you can make with fabric. I did the I valentine mystery quilt and absolutely loved it. It is such a beautiful design. My favourite colour is blue and one of my favourite fabrics is grunge so for Time to Bloom I surprised myself by choosing a different fabric and green. I’m actually doing a Christmas version as well. I’m looking forward to creating another beautiful Monica and Alaura…
Hi All, my name is Tina and I'm from St. Neots Cambridgeshire England. I'm new to quilting, although I sewed a bit when I was young I really got into it during our covid lock down. I've watched so many Youtube quilting videos by great quilters. I've only made 3 small quilts so far and never done applique. I'm looking forward to going on The Time to Bloom journey.
